Where do I find my child's graded papers?

Most assignments are found either glued into a notebook, put in a binder, or a folder.   We use these at school on a daily basis.   Your child is welcome to take these home at any time, but please just let me know and send them back the following day.

Reading
*Reading passages are filed in their Reading folder.
*Reading response rubrics are stapled or glued into the Reading Response Notebook.
*Blog grades are stapled/glued into the back of the Reading Response Notebook.

Writing
*Published compositions are filed in their Writing Binder.
*Grammar worksheets are filed in their Writing Binder OR Grammar folder (depends on teacher)
*Spelling work is all done in their combination Spelling/Grammar Notebook (spelling tests are done in the notebook also).
*Grammar notes are done in the combination Spelling/Grammar Notebook (Grammar side is the back of notebook).
*The "Write Source Skills Book" that the students bring home for homework doesn't have grades, just check marks.   If a page from there is done in class for a grade, students will tear it out, and it will be put in their Writing Binder or Grammar folder (depends on teacher).

Math
*Daily Math problem pages are filed in the math binder.   Every daily math problem has a rubric, but not all are graded for the grade book.   Teachers will write a grade on the graded problems.   Non-graded problems will have a check mark/stamp/sticker to show students have gotten feedback on it.
* Math notes & warm-up pages are located in the math notebooks (not graded by teacher- students check).
* Math homework is not graded by the teacher (students check), and is filed in the math binder.

Science
*All science labs, notes and assignments are glued into their Science Notebook
* Graded assignments will either be labs with a teacher's grade written on it OR there will be a rubric stapled/glued to that page with the grade.

Texas History
*  Notes, worksheets, and activities are glued into their TX History Notebooks.
* Graded activities will have a rubric stapled to it.

Exceptions
*Large projects will go home after they are graded
*Unit tests are sent out with a "Sign and Return" written on it so parents can view.   Please return, because we file all tests back at school.
